The sixth inning proved to be the turning point.
Tommy Edman’s sacrifice fly scored Mookie Betts, but the Blue Jays struck right back—Lourdes Gurriel Jr. laced a double to right field to extend their lead to 4-2. In the top of the eighth, Max Muncy launched a solo home run to right on a 1-1 count, pulling the Dodgers within one run. Then, in a ninth-inning thriller, Miguel Rojas blasted a full-count solo shot to left field, tying the game at 4-4 and sending the crowd into a frenzy as play headed to extra innings.

The Dodgers finally broke through in the 11th inning.
Will Smith’s solo home run to left field gave the visitors their first lead of the game. In the bottom half, Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto rose to the occasion, recording a walk-off double play to seal the victory. The World Series MVP capped off the title defense with a dominant performance, with his postseason excellence earning him praise as the cornerstone of a dynasty.
